Another photo from my St. Elizabeth trip. This dramatic cliff offers a wonderful view of the South Coast and the Caribbean Sea. As with many such places in Jamaica, the name originates from slavery and has a tragic story. I’ve heard a couple of versions, but most involve a master that was in love with a slave who didn’t return the affections, as she loved a fellow slave. Unable to solve the issue, the lovers threw themselves off this enormously high cliff to their death. Fun story, right?
